Pour half of the seasoning mixture into a container that large enough to fit the salmon fillets, arrange the fish, then pour the rest of seasoning over the top of the fish. Make sure the fish is coated with the miso sauce.
Cover the container and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
If you broil it:
Cover broiling pan with aluminum foil. Brush a little vegetable oil over the foil and lay the salmon fillets on top. Make sure there is coating of marinade seasoning on top of the fish.
Make sure that you don't place the fillet too close. Give space. Broil for 6-10 minutes, depending on how thick the fillets are and how hot your broiler is.
If you grill it:
Brush a little vegetable oil over a grilling pan, lay the marinated salmon fillets on top of the grilling pan. Grill about 2-3 minutes or depending on how thick the fillets are.
Use a wide spatula to turn the fillets over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or depending on how thick the fillets are.
Transfer the cooked fillets to a plate. Serve with freshly-cooked rice and miso soup.
