Lemon is well known for its vitamin C content, while ginger is known for its antioxidants. These two ingredients are perfect to combine with green tea which also has many health benefits. This drink is refreshing that it is great to enjoy hot or cold, and it is good for your daily detox drink.
1½teaspoonhoney(optional if you would like a sweet hint in your green tea)
¼lemon(juiced)
Instructions
Boil and bring the water to simmer. Add a green tea bag and steep for 5-10 minutes.
Add ginger and lemon juice.
Remove tea bag. Add honey (optional) when the tea is not too hot anymore.
Your Lemon Ginger Green Tea is ready to enjoy!
Notes
* This recipe is more suitable for hot or warm tea. But it is not possible if you want to consume it as an iced drink. Wait until it cools down to room temperature, then add ice cubes.* If you use powdered green tea, just dissolve the green tea powder with simmered water. You can use 1 teaspoon of the powder for 100cc of water, or you can add more if you'd prefer a more intense taste.
