A simple yet delicious Ochazuke made with just vegetables of your choice. We're going to be using mushrooms & broccoli but feel free to substitute it with any other kinds of vegetables you prefer!
While the rice is being cooked, brew the tea with hot water for 5-7 minutes.
Prepare the vegetables
Cut the mushrooms and broccoli into thinly-sliced pieces. Boil the mushroom first for 10 minutes, then add in broccoli and leave for another 10 minutes until soft.
Assemble the dish
Arrange the rice in a bowl and add the mushroom and broccoli on top. Pour the brewed tea over until it completely covers the rice. Add some roasted sesame seeds on top and your dish is ready to be served. If the flavour is too mild, you can add in some soy sauce!
