How to Make Your Own Kombu Salad
Ingredients
Main ingredients
- 1/3 cup dried kombu
- 1 shredded carrot
- 1 shredded cucumber
Ingredients for dressing
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar or fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Place kombu into a saucepan with water. Bring to boil and reduce the heat to medium then leave for 3-4 minutes for the kombu to soften. Drain the water and shred the kombu into smaller pieces.
- Add all the ingredients for dressing together in a bowl and whisk until perfectly blended.
- Add all the main ingredients (kombu, shredded carrot and cucumber) into a serving bowl and add the dressing on top.
- Mixed well and let it sit for 15 minutes in the refrigerator for the best flavour.
