  • Boil the spinach briefly in boiling water. Take it out and expose it to water, and squeeze.
  • Cut the boiled spinach into bite-sized pieces.
  • Remove the umeboshi seeds and finely chop them.
  • Mix umeboshi and soy sauce in a sauce bowl.
  • Toss the spinach with umeboshi and soy sauce, then mix in bonito flakes to complete.
