  • Make the hot sencha green tea. Boil the water to 90-100 degrees Celcius. Pour it first to the teapot to decline the temperature to about 80-90 degrees Celcius (if the temperature is too high, the sencha will become bitter).
  • Next, pour the water from the teapot into all teacups. It will further reduce the temperature to 70-80 degrees Celcius (the perfect temperature to steep the sencha).
  • Put 2 tablespoons (6-8 grams) of sencha green tea leaves into the teapot and pour the hot water at 70-80 degrees Celcius.
  • Let it steep for around 60-90 seconds with the lid closed.
  • Pour the tea into the cups and let it cool at room temperature.
  • Store in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Serve the iced sencha green tea with ice cubes! (optional)
