A tasty superfood, black garlic, has a combination of sweet and umami flavor. Because of its flavor, black garlic can be used for many dishes. One form of processing black garlic is to make it into sauce. Then, stewed meats–pork, chicken, beef–can go really well with that sauce. Juicy Pork Stew with Black Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
- 200 grams Pork belly block
- 4 cloves Black garlic chopped
- 1 Tomato big size
- 400 ml Water
- Your preferred amount White sesame
- A few Lettuce
- 1 tablespoon * Shoyu (Soy sauce)
- 1 tablespoon * Sake Cooking sake
- 1 teaspoon * Salt
- 1 teaspoon * Sugar
- 5 cm * Kombu
- 3 cloves * Garlic sliced
- 3 slices * Ginger sliced
Instructions
- Put water, pork belly, and the ingredients marked by * in a pan and heat over high heat.
- When it boils, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove the heat, cut the pork meat into pieces that are easy to eat.
- Add the chopped black garlic, ginger, and white sesame to the broth to make the sauce.
- Slice the tomato and arrange on a plate, put the pork stew on it, and pour the sauce.
- You can decorate it with lettuce, the it's completed!
Notes
- If you cannot eat pork and drink sake, you can use beef and chicken meat instead, and make the stew without sake.
- You can use sliced Japanese ginger (myoga) as decoration too!
